This article is about “Bodybuilding game”, we hope to bring more articles about “Bodybuilding game” in the near future:

Ok, the bottom line is you want huge muscles and ripped abs. You want to make the biggest leap forward in mass gain in the shortest amount of time, right? All amateurs come into the bodybuilding game with these goals, but along the way they get side tracked by fancy sounding training programs and fun new supplements and forget what it really takes to gain the muscle and keep the fat at bay.

Goals Are Key

A critical first step is to decide what your goals are. Knowing this will dictate how you train and what you focus on. Your goals need to be well defined. So ask yourself if you want to get overall muscle mass, or if you need to bring up a lagging body part, or do you need to drop some body fat. These different goals will each dictate different training and nutrition protocols. For instance if you want to gain muscle mass then you will have to consume more calories than you burn. You will have to cease all useless activities to give your body time to rest from lifting heavy weights. If you want to burn body fat you will need to add that cardio, and clean up your diet.

Of course these are all generalizations, but the point remains that you need to know what it is that you want so that your can adjust your training and nutrition to meet that goal.

Big Means Big

First off, it must be remembered that big muscles are strong muscles. For an amateur bodybuilder to gain the muscle mass he or she wants they must lift heavy weights. So forget all of that isolations and cable training, and plyometrics, and focus on lifting the biggest amount of weights in the shortest time possible. This is the bottom line principle that any well-muscled bodybuilder follows.

The fact is that muscles grow because they are stimulated to grow. They grow because they are forced to do something that they have never done before (called stimulus/response). They grow because your body doesn’t want to fail next time around so it adds muscle mass to ensure success at lifting that weight next time.

Rest Is Critical

If you want to gain muscle mass or burn fat then how much you rest will play a critical factor. If you are looking at gaining muscle mass then you need to give your body plenty of rest and take care to get some extra sleep. It is a little known fact that the body only grows muscle while you are sleeping. If you cut your sleep short you will derail your muscle gains.

Rest can also be used as a stimulant in fat loss. By shortening rest periods and sleep times by even 30 minutes a day you increase calorie consumption and even adrenaline production. Both of which will help burn that body fat. So use rest as a tool to achieve your goals.

Work Out Volume

In the same manner that you regulate rest to suit your body building goals, you can regulate training volume for the same effect. If you are looking at cutting up then increasing the amount of sets and reps you perform will mean a longer time under load, which means more calories, burned. For gaining mass the object would be just the opposite. You want all of your spare calories to go to building more muscles, so wasting your energy and time on longer workouts is only detrimental. You will want the quickest high intensity workout you can find. Get in, Get out and rest.

Sports drinks are an interesting thing. I’ve always wondered whether it was better to have a sports drink during physical activity, or to simply go with water, as many doctors and other nutrition experts might recommend.

Both of them have their benefits. Water is healthy and lacks the traditional sugar and other sweeteners you’ll find in other sports drinks. On the other hand, the sports drinks are loaded with things like electrolytes, which replenish and hydrate you, not to mention the fact that the sugars do give you a temporary boost and get burned off during physical activity.

With that said, let’s take a quick look at some of the sports drinks I prefer to use during physical activity.

I’m a big fan of Urban Detox. This is a new line of sports drink that comes in a number of different flavors, and the sweeteners are natural. It tastes good and seems to be a healthier option than Gatorade.

Speaking of Gatorade, I have to say that I’m really not a huge fan of it these days. Sure, I grew up drinking it and love some of the flavors, but the presence of high fructose corn syrup in Gatorade is a no no to me and it means stay away in my book.

Instead, I’ll go with something like Propel. Without the extent of artificial sweeteners that Gatorade has, it’s a nice balance between water and your standard sports drink. This will easily get the juices flowing and keep you full of energy. It doesn’t taste bad either.

This article is about “Bottled water”, we hope to bring more articles about “Bottled water” in the near future:

Do you have a supply of fresh water and want to sell bottled water locally and hopefully nationally? Well there are a few things that you have to think about first of all.

Well the first thing to do is walk through the water aisle of your local supermarket and check how many other bottled waters there are for sale. How are you going to compete? Well on three areas: Brand, Price or Quality.

Let’s look at quality first – do you have really great clear water, does it come from a famous spring or a unique area? Then capitalise on this.

Can you sell your water at a low price – say aim it at the lunch box market or aim it at drivers who want bottles of water in their car cup holders. Or price it high and match it with the quality of the water – so aim it at restaurant frequenters or produce bottles just for high class hotels. Try and find a market that you can aim for as opposed to being all things to all people. Take that walk through the supermarket again and try and find a niche that you can fit your water into.

Having decided on the above two, you are halfway to deciding your branding. Selling bottled water is very competitive and the only way to break through is with branding. Having decided upon your price level and the quality level you are aiming for. Low to high price and exclusive or general as well as the marketing niche you are selling into, you need to look at what persona you want your water to take on. How your water is perceived by the people you want to sell to is called your brand.

With bottled water your brand is made up of three areas – bottle shape, label and name. The name should come first and it is really the hardest to decide upon. If you want cool and crisp that suggests a few names, if you want established and expensive that is a whole different group of names. As you search for the name, check that the domain name is free as well – this will help with your marketing and gives an indication as to whether the name has been taken already. Do a Google search on your final choice to check what comes up. Is it taken by another product and does it bring up items that would be detrimental to your brand?

Once you have your name, then the shape of the bottle and the label are much easier to decide upon. Obviously the bottle shape must be one that can be manufactured and bottled at a reasonable rate. It should also look good standing on the supermarket shelves. Similarly the label should be easy to read, have the legally required information on it, and be easy and cost effective to print off.

Alternatively, go down the outsourcing market and sell at a low wholesale price to hotels, restaurants, clubs and sports arenas – each with their own label.

Whichever route to market you choose – good luck.
